“That’s what I’ve been told all my life. I left home at 15 and I lied about my age to get a full-time job. When I finally told them that I was 15 not 17 they hired me just cause they liked me and I did a really good job. I lived in Vancouver, grew up in the West End downtown and there was a lot of, you know, drug dealers, prostitutes, stuff like that, and I always never got involved with that kind of stuff. My friends started getting involved in that stuff and I knew at 17 that I wanted more and I left Vancouver and I moved to Calgary…”

While always working to sustain herself, Melissa has also pursued her passion for acting despite adversity (you can see her in Wynonna Earp Season 1 & 2as a bar babe, a criminal on Fargo Season 3, and in Silver Thimble Gang as one of the leads!). Despite recently going through a divorce, she is an upbeat, open-hearted, positive woman and is currently in school to become a medical assistant to better raise her three kids.
